AdWords Editor

You can advertise your business on Google with AdWords, the company’s main advertising product that offers pay-per-click advertising. Set up a campaign and your business will be promoted via Google. You can manage those campaigns, download your account info, edit and upload your campaigns with the free tool AdWords Editor, also offered by Google.

AdWords Editor is available for Microsoft Windows operating system and for Apple Mac OS X. This means you can use the application on a computer powered by Windows XP (Home/Pro), Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8. You can also use the application on a machine powered by Mac OX 10.5 or later, Intel or Power PC.

When you launch the application, you will be presented with the Add/manage accounts prompt. Only after you add an account will you be allowed to access the interface. If you already have a Google account, you must visit the AdWords webpage and sign up for AdWords; after that you can use your Google account to sign in and get started with AdWords Editor.

There is a lot you can do offline with AdWords Editor. You can download and manage your campaigns, make bulk changes quite easily, copy/move items between ad groups and campaigns, access useful info about your account, share changes and get feedback on them. Once you’re done making your changes, they will be uploaded to your AdWords account. So with AdWords Editor you can work on your campaigns offline, then upload the changes when it’s convenient for you.
